The Toyota Hilux is by far the most popular vehicle in Yemen this year.
8,280 new light vehicles found a buyer in Yemen in 2022. Toyota remains the overwhelming leader with 86.3% share. We have a surprise in 2nd place: thanks to a very strong December shipment, MG lands in the ranking and holds 8.5% of the market Hyundai and Lexus follow at 1.8% and 1.3% share respectively. The Toyota Hilux holds a whopping 45.3% share ahead of the Toyota Land Cruiser at 18.1% and the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup at 12.2%. The MG 5 lands directly in 4th place, distancing the Toyota Fortuner and Prado.
